A little sweet, but not much, compliments things very well, very balanced. Bitterness is higher than even some ipa’s, which is impressive considering the malt which often covers that up. Again, the citrus hurts things here, but this is still really nice.Ĭarbonation is medium high. Bready malt blends really well with the citrusy hops that come through more than any pine that might be here. The citrus brings it down a little bit, but this still smells really good and very balanced.įlavor is also extremely balanced. Maybe a touch of citrus, but not much, also not sure why they added citra or simcoe. Nose is super freaking nice, piney hops, bready malt, and caramel. Body is a classic amber color, clarity is high, with a small amount of bubbles coming up.

Retention is above average and after a few minutes an impressive rim of foam sits around the body. Pours two fingers of light tan head into my willi becher glass. The carbonation is on the gentle side and pairs well with the smoothness.įun to drink while watching some daytime Premier League feels English style, yet with some American hops character. The mouthfeel is smooth and chewy, nearly creamy, with a nice slickness to it.

Medium bodied with a smooth and dry fruity finish. The palate begins to dry, as does the finish, and emits more woodsy and earthy flavors. The hops bitterness is right on the mark as it provides balance, yet a gentle enough touch in order to let the malts and yeast shine. Jammy notes of orange and apricot marmalade interact well with floral and fruity hops flavors. Hops aromatics become a bit more pronounced midway, with notes of floral/fruity hops, earthy and woodsy, and a touch of citrusy zest.Ī sweet and doughy malt base evokes notes of caramelized and biscuity malts, lightly toasted and fruity. Aromas of biscuity, toasted malts and caramel. The nose is fruity with notes of strawberry and marmalade jam.

Pours a clear amber color, lovely looking with notes of ruby.
